Fascinating that climate models are this kind of science that all experts praise, and the rest of the world, with absolute certainty, ignores, criticize and makes fun of.

Do the experiment : talk about "climate models" outside of your usual bubble. Talk about them to a certain 55% of the population. The knee jerk reaction will be immediate.

Rocket science ? "Cool, bro !"

    Other Science ? "Meh, whatever"

Climate models ? "Nah, they don't work !"

I'm pretty sure even people with technical and scientific background with flood the thread with explanations about how the models are wrong, have always been, will always be, and are just device cooked up by politician to justify [insert whatever policy you oppose].

On the other hand, slap "AI" on a random number generator and you can sell it as an oracle for whatever you want.

How should the climate scientist have market their models to make people believe them ? Was it hopeless from the start given the expected resistance from fossil fuel industry ? Was there a path ? Is there one ?
