Problem The problem is that organisation is pre-social media era, where communication had to flow through people. People effectively filtered out, summarised and transferred information for one level of corporate structure to another. This tends to create organisations where information flows very slowly and creates a very obfuscated org.
Suggestion A Twitter-like internal communication tool which facilitates low latency and low loss discussions.
Concerns 1. Why there exists no tool like this in corporate? Slack does not cut it because communications done in internals threads are not ranked and are not visible across the entire org.
2. The inertia of adoption by these middle managers who effectively bloat up the orgs and ensure no effective work gets done. Orgs where stuff gets done will succeed without this tool or would have built an communication channel harbouring along these principles.
