I wanted to share something I created to solve a problem that I'm sure many of us face. As a remote developer, I often find myself getting so deeply focused on coding that hours fly by without me moving from my chair. You know that state of flow where you're crushing bugs and shipping features? Yeah, it's great for productivity, but my back was definitely not thanking me.

After dealing with increasing back pain and stiffness, I realized I needed a solution that wouldn't break my focus but would help me remember to move throughout the day. None of the existing apps quite worked for me – they were either too intrusive or too easy to ignore. So, I did what we developers do best: I built my own solution.

I created the iOS App LetsMoveIt, a movement reminder that puts you in control. The key feature is its flexible timer system - you can set custom intervals that match your natural workflow. Whether you prefer short breaks every 10 minutes or longer intervals during deep working sessions, you can customize it to fit your style. I personally found that 20-minute focus blocks work best for me, but everyone's different, and that's exactly why I implemented different intervals.
